Pressing under vacuum conditions effectively minimizes exposure to oxygen and other gases, significantly improving the bonding and curing processes. As a result, the LabVac produces higher quality specimens, making it an essential tool for research and production labs alike.

Luc Pattyn, Sales and Marketing Director at Fontijne Presses explains more about what led to the introduction of this new series:

In recent years, we have received an increasing number of inquiries for vacuum presses and have subsequently delivered more units. We observed that most technical requirements remained consistent. Consequently, we decided to introduce a new standard range of vacuum presses, named LabVac.
The advantages of configuring to order are evident: certain components can be utilized across all versions of this new standard range, allowing us to order larger batches and maintain higher stock levels.

The LabVac builds on the success of Fontijne’s highly customizable LabPro press series, which has enabled the company to manufacture tailored vacuum presses for various applications.

Key features of the LabVac laboratory press:

  • Models available: Depending on the model – 50, 200, 400, 600, or 1000 – the press range extends up to 50, 200, 400, 600, or 1000 kN at 300°C.
  • ProView control system: The ProView control system features a 15-inch touchscreen that allows for precise control of pressure, temperature, and vacuum parameters according to the specific requirements of the material and test. The vacuum system can be manually controlled via the operation panel or as part of a recipe through a set of commands. The press chamber can be rapidly filled with air after pressing.
  • Configurable to order: The LabVac’s design allows for the use of common components across models, enabling larger batch orders, favorable pricing, and reduced delivery times.

Nevertheless, we continue to offer a high degree of customization. If certain technical parameters, such as temperature, closing force, or platen sizes, do not meet your specific requirements, please do not hesitate to reach out for customized solutions.
